Oops! I Did It Again!

This 'n' That

21 Aug

OK, that there title is for any younguns that the Beatles songs went right over their heads.

So now that I know about the Splitcoaststampers Challenges, I mean what rock did I live under?  I do go to SCS all the time, but I usually just look up a certain stamp set and find something to case or I upload to my gallery, and then I get out. I don't read the messages, or forums or anything.  So when my girlfriend Cindy  told me that I should try one, I thought sure.

Well I stayed up late last night so I could see the Sketch Challenge, and thank goodness the Olympic gymnastics finals were on cause it took some time before I could get the challenge to come up, but here it is…and don't Molly look cute with some of the new Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper,  new In Colors, and the Designer Buttons?  While I waited for the challenge to come up I stamped Molly and colored her.  I had picked out what papers I was going to use so that was easy, what I did not expect was a circle design in the challenge or I would have stamped Molly a little higher up on the paper, but oh well I think it still turned out so cute, and such a fun card.  I made it 5 1/"2 x 5 1/2".

SCS SC190 003 copy Heres what I used:

Stamps: Lets Get Together

Paper: Riding Hood Red, Pumpkin Pie, Washington Apple DSP, Watercolor Paper, Basic Black

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Going Gray, Basic Gray, So Saffron, Pink Pirouette

Misc: Riding Hood Red Striped ribbon, white gel pen, coluzzle, Big Shot Die Scallop #2, Designer Buttons

SCS SC190 010 copy

Can ya see the little bit of gray in Molly's hair, those would be stress hairs.  Seems she had to rush her son to school today cause he missed the bus, and they even tried to flag down the bus driver when she goes back by the bus stop on the way to the school, but she just waved and drove on by, and then Molly who was in her barefeet, undies and a night shirt had to race her son home to put her ears in and her pants on and grab her purse and phone, and drive him to school, about an hour round trip drive. Did I mention that Molly called the Bus Barn to complain about the driver only to find out her son had missed the bus twice already and was told the bus driver would not stop anymore on the way by anymore, and did I also mention that Molly felt like an idiot while the bus barn man was telling her this and that her son was saying "I dont know" everytime she asked if he had missed the bus before, while the bus barn man was listening and oh and Molly also realizes that crow tastes pretty bad in the morning…oh and I guess that happened to me and not Molly…I had an outerbody experience I guess…

Back to the fun card…..

SCS SC190 009 copy

The button is threaded with, as I have shown you before with just a thin piece of basic black cardstock.  BRILLIANT!

Well I am off of here for now, but I am definitely going to be checking out more challenges.

Thanks for stopping in!

Hugs, Di

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
