Look Out Honey the Canadians Are Up One

This 'n' That

18 Aug

…not in the Olympics, cause well they may be, but I have not watched any of it.  I love the gymnastics, but I think I have totally missed it all.  My BFF Tracy (poor girl must be sick of that name) but oh well, gotta love me Trac!!!  Tracy said they were on like at midnight or something, that is so sad they put it on that late.  I mean could they not maybe take off the soap operas, I turned on Days of Our Lives one day, and John is talking and acting like a robot and well it was kinda comical, cause he always seemed to have that way of talking.

Next weekend Lynsay Mahon www.cloud9stampers.com is coming to hang out and stamp a little.  Her and her family are going to be in Arizona for a bit, she missed my meeting by one week so that was unfortunate for them that they never got to meet her, but I am looking forward to hanging out.  I met Lynsay a couple years ago, we had the same SAM (famous Brandon – how is that new job going?) and we also both Demonstrated one year at Managers Reception with my buddy ol' pal, my SCS Dirty Dozen member Cindy Lawrence www.onehappystamper.typepad.com  Plus Lynsay and I are both Canadians, and well ya know that holds a special place in my heart, and I swear we will move back there some day!

Here we three are:

Lyns, cindy and di

Lynsay, Cindy, and Di

So anyway Lynsay was on the Stampin' Up! Advisory Board last year, and she was the only Canadian Member, so they always keep one Member on to  kinda help the new girls.  So I was like "well they better pick Lynsay, and I don't care if she is the only Canadian that should not go against her" but that did worry me, but when they said that she was the returning member, I was screaming so loud, and was so proud of her.  She is so stinkin' sweet and she is one of the reasons that Stampin' Up! is so popular in Canada and that it is growing and growing.  I look forward to hanging out, and I will plan a couple make-n-takes for ya!!!!

Speaking of make-n-takes, here is another one of the DIVA cards:

Diva card 2

I am the worst for procrastination, I swear someday it WILL bite me in the butt. I guess as long as it takes away the piece it bites off then that will be ok.

Recipe:

Stamp Set: Cheers to You (one of the few new stamp sets that is NOT die-cut) that surprised me as I was procrastinating!! HA!

Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Rainbow Sherbet DSP, Green galore, Basic Black, Watercolor Paper

Ink: Stazon Jetblack, Bashful Blue, Going Gray, Apricot Appeal, Only Orange, Tempting Turquoise, Green Galore, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red

Misc: Black gingham, white gel pen, aqua painter

So the other day I had to run into the grocery store and I picked up this and that and oh remind me to post a really good recipe, it was so yummy. But I got in line cause it was a short line…yep…you have all been there, I swear that I was in line for 15 minutes and I don't know what the cashier lady was doing, I wonder if the customer was price matching or something, but Bob Barker showed up and said she won cause she matched the prices right, he talked about being spayed and neutered and then it was my turn…ok I think I only dreamed of Bob Barker being there, cause I think I fell asleep in line, so after the cashier finally gets me all done, she was like "oh I love your hair, I used to do that with mine in the 70's with the layers and the henna" and I am like in my head The 70's – that is the stinkin' year I got in line! But really I just said, well thank you, but as I was leaving the store, I was wondering….is having 70's hair a good thing?

Thanks for stopping in…I need to call my hair dresser!

Hugs, Di

OMG! You are too funny! I love to read your blog daily – you write in cuch a fun way that's so entertaining! 70's hair too funny! People might say that about me but I say – if it works (and looks good which your not 70's look does) then stick with it!LOL! What's up with women having to change their hairstyle anyway?! Men don't! Anyway, thanks for another great laugh and, of course, all the great projects too!

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
