Diva Cards – So Inspired!

This 'n' That

17 Aug

I bought the Mamma Mia sound track the other day, and I also bought an ABBA – Gold CD, and ya know what? The actors did not do that bad a job when you play them back to back.  I also was taken back to my childhood when I opened up the CD from the soundtrack, all the bright colors, and costumes and the firework stuff behind them reminded me of the old program you would get when you went to the Ice Capades…(do you ever get like that, you remember your childhood and ya wanna cry, cause it really went so fast, and you have lost so many people (I love you Poppa and miss you) and everyone is growing up – my sisters all grown up, with kids (well Jacqui does, Courtney is still waiting on the ring…hint!hint! Jay!! – Jade and Joel – I have totally missed them growing up – my Dads and my Mum getting older and I so missed that, Granny in a nursing home, and getting better all the time - living in Arizona is beautiful but sucky at the same time, as I have missed my whole family - it is so far away)…alright let me wipe my eyes and get on with the story…..ok I don't mean the Ice Capades as we have it now.  Not to get me wrong, they are still talented and I could never do what they do.  But remember the old days with the costumes and the skating and music, and there was the one guy that was dressed like a hobo or something and he would do some fun stuff, I can not even remember names.  I bet my Mum has an old program, but I just remember feeling like I was in a magical place when we went to the Ice Capades, and we were excited to go every year. Well I feel sorry for the kids today, cause I feel that they miss so much because of I-pods, and Gameboys, and TV, and all that…they seem to have to grow up so fast now a days…heck when I started kindergarten, I was potty trained (ok just kidding…I mean, I was but that was just thrown in there for a joke…ha! ha! I peed, if only the potty training stuck eh?) anyway, when I started kindergarten, I knew how to play and sleep and I got A's in both of those, I remember being awed that we had a sand box INSIDE!!!!!  I looked back at an old report card and it said I was chatty…hmmmm….guess that hasn't change eh?  anyway, don't know why I even talked about that, but that was just a little feeling I got when I opened up the package…..

Back to the regular program….

My team earns DIVA cards based on their monthly sales and Saturday is the day they do them after our regular meeting.

This is one of them that I totally cased from Michele Force  http://micheleforce.blogspot.com/2008/08/august-stamp-stack-cards.html she is very talented, and I love these colors together.  I need to get more taffeta ribbon it is so beautiful. I did get the new two sided taffeta but need to try that out.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
