What’s Up With the Bonnets?

This 'n' That

23 Jul

elvis lip baby picture

Perhaps this is where my screw became loose.  Maybe one day I got put in this contraption, and I saw a butterfly and I tried to take a step closer to catch it, only to get the wheel caught on a rock and I went ass over teakettle and fell on my noggin’.

I mean heck, look at my face, I even look like I am saying “Are you kiddin’ me? Does this look safe? Hello! Is anyone listening to me?”

little tree on the prairie

Now this picture, I am not too sure about, I just know that I got another bonnet on, and I look a little like I should be on a prairie, and live in a little house, and grow up to marry Almanzo and be a teacher….oh wait that’s been done before.

I guess I will grow up and marry Jeffrey and teach stamping instead.

But these pictures make me laugh and I really should get them scrap-booked, I mean heck, that’s my “job” right?

I hope you have enjoyed looking at some old pictures, I know I have.

Thanks for stopping in.

Hugs, Di

This is just too cute…bet you never got a sunburn in those outfits! I love looking at old pics and recently spent a day with my Grandma (88) going through her photo albums and putting in the names and details of the people in the pictures…I saw the most awesome photos of my Grandpa from the 1930's that I had never seen before. You should scrapbook these for sure….what a treasure for generations to come.

You made me laugh this morning and I needed that. Convention is so close. I have no swaps done, last night while I was asleep my temporary cap fell off, I have a customer coming tomorrow that I met at a craft fair to pick out her gift from a raffle drawing and I am afraid I won't get my tooth or my swaps done….so thanks for the chuckle!

Brings back memories. You look so cute! TFS

Hey girl!!! You're SO right about those little wheelie-teach-you-how-to-walk-I-mean-fall-down things…..they seem like a good idea but man – major accident-injury potential….can you say stairs!!!

Thanks for sharing the label maker thingie….quick make something with the little tag so I can copy it and pretend I thought of it all!!

SOOOOO looking forward to seeing you at Convention. I think you asked and I forgot to answer…..I'm at the Marriott!

    Safe travels!! Melanie

Around 1972 Holly Hobbie was very popular, they made plates, dolls, wallpaper … everything with this image. The images were little girls that had on the long dress, apron and bonnet. Just like your pictures. Google Holly Hobbie 1972 and you'll see what I mean.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
