So this is a little warning to all you girls out there. Because we have all done this, and I am guilty of it too. The other night at class, Susan (hey girlfriend!) told me what happened to her at a gas station. While she was filling up her truck, she has a tall SUV kinda vehicle, someone quietly opened up the passenger side door while she was outside pumping gas, and they stole her purse! She said she got in after pumping gas and heard a little click noise. She then saw someone in her passenger side mirror and he was walking low and got in a car, and they sped away. They started charging stuff to her card almost immediately. The clicking noise was the thief closing the door really quiet.
So ladies, make sure your passenger side door is locked. Put your purse on the floor behind the driver seat, and just be cautious out there.
So I have been watching on Sunday nights, Design Star. So the other night, I almost wanted to dance a jig when they finally kicked off Tracee, she drove me nuts, and did not deserve to be on the show, nor to even have the name Tracee – thank goodness it is spelled different then my BFF Tracy! She was not talented, she was a b*#&h, she drove everyone crazy and she totally needs to get off her high horse, and I just wanted to tell her “honey, everyone’s poop stinks!”. I would never have watched her show if she won. The one show I loved was when they redid some hotel rooms in Mempis for country singer Sara Evans, OMG! they were so nice, all shabby chic, and vintagey, I love that kinda stuff. In fact, this is the first season I have watched it, I so wish I had watched it when David Bromstad won it, he has a show on HGTV called Color Splash. He is so darned talented, and if anyone redid my studio…we can always wish right? I mean heck I mentioned my email mess and hoping the kinks would be worked out and today…yeah! they are. I wore my grinder guard and my jaw was way better today, so who says I can’t wish for David to do my studio…is that someone knocking on my door? He totally listens to the people, and he always does awesome artwork, and he is just a overall great guy. Check him out here on HGTV http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/shows_hclrs/
So a few of you have asked about my sale…what is it about that word that gets our hearts a pitter pattering a little faster…heck it works for me.
Anyway, I am going to be putting out my retired stamp sets, and accessories at my Catalog Kick Off Party in August. So anyone in the Queen Creek area, holler at me and I will give you more information. We will be doing a quick couple make n takes as well.
So back to the Shabby Chic title. I see so many cards that are made and they were inspired by this and that, and I am so in love with the new Stampin’ Up! Bella Rose Designer Series paper. I made my bed the other day, and I will tell you truthfully I don’t do it very often…bad I know, and it looks so nice made up too.
I looked at it a little closer and then I realized just why I love the Bella Rose paper so much, it matches the comforter and drapes in our bedroom! Ha! I am totally going to do some sort of framed something to put in our room. This is just Waverly stuff from Tarjay!
So I thought heck I know what I will do with my inspiration.
I used my good old So Saffron pad and rubbed it on the rose paper, and I cut it a bit smaller so the red checked paper showed behind it and I faux stitched it together. Just like the comforter edging. I love it, it looks just like it.
I used all Stampin’ Up! products except for the stamp set.
