Brick by Brick

Well have you ever designed a card in your head and then even drew it on scrap paper…then when you made the card, it was not quite what you were thinking?

Well this is that card. I attempted to make brick, as the window had to be attached to a house right?  And I did not want to do wood slats as the shutters are like that, so this is like an old brownstone..or would that be “Riding Hood Red”stone?  I used extra rubber from my new set and made a little brick shape, I mounted it to an extra block of wood and stamped it so it looked like brick.  I added some white gel pen on the edges, a bit of Going Gray and So Saffron around the bricks to kinda age them up.

I rubbed my So Saffron pad on the Bella Rose paper and aged it up a bit before paper piercing it and then connecting the dots with the black marker.

 

 

 

 

I actually cut out the bottom window using the Cutter Kit, the scissor or blade piece worked perfect, I used it to cut the line and then just finished it with my scissors.

The little girl and the lamp (sorry the lamp is from an old SU! set) are glued behind the window so you are looking in the window and they are looking out.  I glued a piece of Bella Rose BG paper behind them like wall paper.

I am loving the new Baja Breeze color, that is what I used for the top of the window and then the arch windows too, isn’t it beautiful? Like it is reflecting the sky.  I also love the Pacific Point too, that is what I used on her hair ribbon. Her face is Pink Pirouette.

 

 

So about 5 years ago Jeff said he had a 5 year plan…we would sell 1 1/4 acres of land, put in a pool, do a whole bunch of other stuff, etc. About a year ago we got the land ready to sell, we did not hire an agent, but just put up a few signs, word of mouth, we are in no hurry.  Well with the housing market and the financial situation this old world is in, and that the signs have all blown away, needless to say we have not sold our property. 

So today Jeff and Eric improvised the 5 year plan!
