Basketful of Fluff

This 'n' That

12 Jul

As soon as I saw this stamp set “Serene Spring” I fell in love. I am so hoping that this artist did a lot of the open line artwork in the Fall-Winter Stampin’ Up! catalog cause they are so talented, and the details are amazing.  I mean the bunny looks so real, and oh, oh, oh wait till tomorrow’s card using another stamp from the same set, there is even a little tiny lady bug on a blade of grass. Now this is a Hostess set, so you will need to book a workshop to earn this little gem, so give me a holler and let’s get you on the books! This bunny needs a home!

That kinda art work is what made me fall in love with Stampin’ Up! in the first place. And look at the new background paper too, beautiful. It is called Bella Rose…I mean even the name is beautiful, and do you like the scallop border?  Did I do it with my slit punch?  Nope I did not, I used the new scallop punch, and I love it!

So here is the card, don’t ya just wanna pick the bunny up and love him?

Recipe:

Stamp Set: Serene Spring, Itty Bitty Backgrounds

Paper: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Bella Rose Designer Series paper, Kiwi Kiss, Watercolor Paper

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Creamy Caramel, Really Rust Chocolate Chip

Misc: Scallop punch, scallop circle punch for cloud stencil, I did most of the coloring with the watercolor pencils, and a blender pen, white gel pen, chocolate twill ribbon (hope that is in the new catalog)

It all kinda pops off the card, this picture kinda shows the different layers. The bunny, the flower and the bird, are all cut out and glue dotted to the front.

So I have my first round of Fresh Cut classes tomorrow, I am excited to see how they like their projects, and I will get to show them the new stuff too.

Oh and ya wanna little sneak peek of tomorrow’s card? Well you are in luck since it is done….most of the time, I am doing them the day of so their are no sneak peeks, unless you can read my mind…and really you don’t want to go there.

Well I am having issues with my camera, I will have to re-boot my computer, so let me get this published so I can do all that and come back…if ya don’t see a peek you will know I did not get it figured out…grrrr!!!   OK, so as you can see I got it figured out…what ya think?   Just a little peek, looks like a robin, and some flowers of some sort…hmmmm….

I’ve been pulling all my In Color 08 stuff out, background papers and stamp sets that will be retiring, and getting them ready to sell after August 11.  I have my kick off party in August and will put it out then.  It is sad to see it go, but I gotta make room for the new stuff.

Well I gotta get my room set up for class in the morning, thanks for stopping in!

Hugs, Di

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
