You Crack Me Up!

3-D Items

16 Apr

Many times I have said, one of the things that I love about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is all the people I have met over the years.  Sometimes it makes you believe it really is a small world.

At one of my workshops one time a girl was there, and I could totally tell she was Canadian, I mean heck she had this huge red maple leaf shirt on and she was drinking Labbatts Blue, she called everyone a hoser and kept yelling “take off eh” all night long….ok just kidding….but I knew she was Canadian by her beautiful Canadian accent, that I miss so very much.  I could listen to Shania Twain talk all day, not that I care what she is saying but just the accent.  Anyway at this workshop, I asked the girl if she was Canadian and she said yes, and she asked where I was from. Now usually I say London, or Toronto because they are fairly big towns that most people have heard from, but for some reason I said Strathroy. Well then she says, that her husband was from Strathroy…well I about fell over.  We actually went to the same highschool but not at the same time…cool eh?

So anyway a fellow Demonstrator friend (Hi Lilibeth) brought a few of her friends to one of my classes.  I pretty much get along with everyone, but this one girl, Debbie Sutton was especially special to me cause she was Canadian, and I had just got back from Canada to see my Granny, where the Doctor’s about killed her.  So I had Kinder eggs, and all sorts of fun Canadian candy, and we kinda reminisced about Canada.  Canada has the best chocolate, I put on weight the first day I go home cause I go to the convenience store and load up on all these chocolate bars, and I swear Canada has some of the nicest people, but sorry Canada us Arizonians got Gretsky now (I know I botched the spelling) !  So since then she has a special place in my heart. Uncurl your toes Tracy, you are still my BFF!!!!!

I had class the other day and Debbie came and we visited some more and she even brought me my own bag of Smarties (these awesome candies from Canada). I say my own bag cause well folks, I am the only one eating them, cause I ain’t gonna share them.

A while back Debbie mailed me this cute Easter card, and we talked about how darling it was as it sat on my shelf.

Well it was not long after class and I got a call from Debbie and she had gotten an email from Stampin’ Up! that she had won one of the contests and they picked her adorable card….wanna see it? We asked for permission to put it on here and they said yes.

Isn’t this the cuteblog 041508 008st darn thing you ever did see?   Oh what are those colorful things beside it? Well those are Smarties…not M&M’s.  Debbie asked me if I was eating the red ones last? As that is how it is done…and I said well…umm..I was just pouring some in my hand and tossing them in my mouth!  So, Debbie… YOU crack me up! Eating the red ones last! Ha!

So I had to share and I wanted to tell Debbie Congratulations!! You deserve it, this card is eggsceptionally cute! Way to go!

Have a great Wednesday, and thanks for stopping in!

Hugs, Di

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
