Sleep Like You’re Cruising

This 'n' That

13 Apr

You know that commercial for Ny-Quil cold medicine, and they have all sorts of things they say like:

it’s the nighttime, sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching, fever, best-sleep-you-ever-got-with-a-cold medicine…but then they add things like:

-sleep like before you had kids, or the one with the roommate and she talks and talks and talks, and they say sleep like before you had a roommate, and the list goes on…

Well the beds on the cruise ship were so stinking comfortable, hmm…I guess stinking is not a good word to describe a mattress that I am sure thousands of people have slept on, but anyway, it was comfortable, and I swear every time I moved my arm or leg I got a cool spot, now it could be because, it was probably a California King and we sleep in a Queen, so anywhere I put an arm or a leg at home, there is already an arm or a leg there…and sometime a hairy dog…I’m talking about Sammi….get yer mind outta the gutter!

So Jeff commented today that he has not slept as good since he got home like he did on the ship, and he did not know if it was the ship rocking that did it or the mattress.  So I looked up the mattresses online at Holland America, they are like $1,200.00…well that’s a lot of moolah!  So I said something to my BFF Tracy, and ok folks here’s the spooky part.  She just bought a new mattress cover for their bed yesterday and they slept on it last night and she said it is so comfortable, and it was NOT $1,200.00.

So after my class today, and after we went to the Y-Not BBQ and Grill (Hi Lily and Erica – I know you are reading this) and had my BBQ chicken salad….I still like to know what Tony puts in it that makes me crave it so much.  Anyway after I filled my face, I ran over to Linen and Things to get the mattress pad Tracy raved about.  After gabbing in the parking lot with my friend Sheri for half an hour or so (thank goodness we got there the same time Sheri, cause I forgot to put my phone in my purse and it was still in the truck- I never would have got your call…whew!)

I got home stripped the bed and got it all put back together with the new mattress pad, I hope it is as good as Tracy says.  It sure did make the bed seem higher.

Oh and speaking of higher, I had class today and the girls that had not seen Eric for a while commented on how tall Eric had gotten and that he has lost weight and I thought well he has stopped drinking soda, and he has lost some weight, but also I think his fat kinda stretched when he grew taller….that made the light bulb go on above my head.  That is what is happening to me, I am shrinking and all my fat is squishing into my belly roll.  Thank goodness I got that all figured out.

Tracy emailed me a pic of the goodies I gave her for our SGifts_from_Diana_Bermuda_Cruiseecret Sister exchange since I forgot to take pictures of all of them…thanks Tracy.

Well I am off to try out that new mattress pad, my James Patterson book is calling my name….

Thanks for stopping in.

Hugs, Di

Well I'm on day 2 of my New Comfy Cruise Wanna Be Bed!! And One, I can't wait to go to bed at night and Two, I don't want to get out of it in the morning! (That's not good!)
I do believe your thoughts on the Size of the bed on the ship, Cal. King. did have something to do with so many cool spots. Cause I'm not finding those spots till Steve gets up in the morning, glad he's an early riser cause I'll get a good two to three hours alone!!
Well I hope you loved it as much as I!!!!

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
