Wanna do the Polka?

This 'n' That

16 Mar

Well this card is so much fun, but I realized while the girls were making theirs today, it does take quite some time.  I mean, I am not the person to make a card that takes 5 minutes, my friends will agree with that. I like the ones that take half hour or more. Now I am not saying I never make quick cards, cause I totally do, but stamping is my therapy and my passion, and I enjoy it so I don’t care how long it takes to get a card “just right”diva tweak 001.

I still don’t think this card is perfect, the bashful blue flowers are a little too dark, or I should have made the letters a little darker.  But this time I used the markers to color and it went way faster, it only took half an hour to do this time. I also added some polka dots to the letters, with the white gel pen..aren’t they the cutest? I love the white gel pen, they add such fun little details to your cards. You can faux stitch with them, use them to highlight after you have colored, or if you use a dark cardstock you can just use them to write with.

Sunday I will be working on my special gifts for my BFF Tracy, we are making each other 7 little gifts to give each other every night while we are on the Bermuda cruise.  How fun eh? I will show you what I did…after cruise, as Tracy is a stalker on my blog, and I don’t want to spoil the surprise. I will also share what I get too.

Have a beautiful Sunday, and thanks for stopping in!

Hugs, Di

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
