Utz a Good Thing

This 'n' That

12 Mar

Guess what I got in the mail today? No, not that. I got me another pink slip from the post office.  This is the one I have been waiting for. It was a special package full of love all the way from PA from my BFF Tracy, and it took 10 longgggg days to get here!  So I called the PO to make sure they had my box before we drove in to get it, and they said yes, so I go to pick it up and they said they did not have it. Apparently, it was at the Annex building, but after a little…um…discussion, they let me go get it at the Annex building.

Wanna know what was in it? utz 002 Just what my butt and thighs needed. Bags and bags of Utz Cheese Puff’n Corn.  This stuff melts in your mouth and we can not get it here.

Plus I got all sorts of other goodies and Tracy even sent Sammi and Toby a little something too. Of course Toby has snatched both gifts up as his own, especially the two ball tug toy. Seems since we had his “balls” removed a month ago, he is a little partial to flailing these around and growling. In fact one time tonight while we were watching American Idol….Go Michael!! Go Brooke!! (who we saw in Mesa last year – she opened up for my favorite band Ryan Shupe and the RubberBand)  Go Carly!! Go Amanda!!  He was flapping them back and forth and they were hitting me and it hurt.

Earlier while I was waiting for my hubby to come home from work, I looked out the window and the hummingbirds were drinking, so I quick went and got my camera. Usually when we go out they immediately come to drink, in fact they fly by our heads and it sounds like a motorboat or something, their wings sound so weird.  So I stood there, and stood there, and then I stood there some more…utz 013 so this is where the little bugger, I mean hummer was drinking at a minute earlier.

I just made up some fresh new food last night, we have 3 feeders and some nights we have had up to 8 hummers flying around fighting over the feeders, they dive bomb and chase each other and I don’t know how they don’t crash into the trees.

Well since the hummers were camera shy and had abandoned me, I thought what the heck, I would take some flower pictures, they look beautiful right now. utz 009

I think these are Pansies? I am not for sure though, we have a couple pots of them hanging off the back porch.

That is one thing I miss about not living in Canada, it is so hard to grow things here. Heck I stopped getting Better Homes and Gardens magazine cause every stinkin’ picture was from some other state that can actually grow beautiful flowers in the summer, and the green grass was making me sad and homesick.

This one I thought was weird, don’t the two white flowers look like eyeballs looking at ya, kinda alien like?  ET phone home.

Well thanks for stopping in. If I ever do get some good hummer pics you will be the first to see them.

Hugs, Di

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
