I remember growing up making little Chinese lanterns. I can not remember when or where we learned how to make them, I want to say either grade school or possibly Brownies. But this year at Stampin’ Up!’s Annual Leadership, one of the things that we learned to make with our Designer Series Paper were these fun little lanterns.
Isn’t it so cute? I had a workshop today – “Hi Kim, and all you gals!!” – and to start out the workshop, I made one to show everyone how easy it was. I love how it looks with the East Coast Prep paper, the colors are so vivid.
This was 1 of the 24 techniques that we taught at our recent Stamp & Scrap University.
You can make these any size, but this one starts out as a 4×6 piece of designer paper.
I don’t have time tonight to do a tutorial, but if enough people want to learn how to make one, let me know. I figure if I do one tutorial a week, it’ll keep you happy and me not too insane.
Enjoy the rest of your evening, and if you live on the East coast where you had to change your clocks last night …ahem…BFF Tracy…are ya listenin’? We got 1 1/4 acres with your name on it, and you will never have to change your clock again! Ha!
Thanks for stopping in!
Hugs, Di
