Toby, who is almost 8 months old is the cutest pup, and he can be so funny. When he wants to be picked up, you bend down to get him and he jumps back like it is a game. He does it over and over. When he wants to play with Sammi (who really does not want to) he is like a kid, he will stand on his hind legs with his paws in the air just inches from her face, but he won’t touch her. You remember doing that as a kid, sticking your finger in your sister’s face, not actually touching her but still driving her nuts….of course I was an angel and never did this.
He has this purple Kong chew toy that you put a biscuit in and then he has to get it out. He usually can get half of it and the rest gets stuck, so then he throws it up against the wall and growls and growls at it. He will carry that thing around the house, and he even takes it outside when he he has to go potty. Here he is with it in his mouth, it looks a little like “something else” but it is indeed a dog chew toy. It has a hole in each end, one is larger where you stick the biscuit. But he will growl as he gets madder and madder that he cant get the treat out and make all sorts of noises with it and the noise goes through the Kong and out the other end, so it sounds like he is playing an instrument.
He is also a little pig and wants to eat all the time, here he is begging for a treat. I keep a little baggie of corn chex cereal on my desk and I am trying to train him and he will basically do anything for a treat. He even says “mama” in dog speak. I can hear it plain as day, I don’t care what anyone says.
We also have Sammi, she will be 13 this month and she is the best dog ever, she is starting to show her age, and does not get around as good as she used to. Isn’t she beautiful? She just barely tolerates Toby, but he loves her so much, and when she goes and lays down in our bedroom to have some peace and quiet he will look for her. Funny thing is if he is not paying attention to her, she will go over and bark at him as if to say “oh Toby, you’re it!”
Hope you enjoy seeing my babies, and not just their legs like a previous post.
Thanks for stopping in!
Hugs, Di
P.S. I have been asked by quite a few people about my watercoloring, so I am working on a little watercolor tutorial…stay tuned.
They are soooo cute!! Your babies look like they've been groomed and Toby is really growing.
Are't Yorkies the best dogs? We've had 2 of them and it's just a 'Yorkie' thing to back up when you try to pick them up.
